The Lancer Evolution is no more... Long live the LanEvo! When someone gave me the opportunity to drive and review their practically showroom new Final Edition Evo X I was thrilled. I have had the pleasure to drive a couple of WRX’s, but never sampled the natural born adversary.
I was surprised, and I loved it! And honestly, it is way more of a drivers car than a WRX is. The STi? That remains to be seen as I have yet to drive and review one. But right now the Evo X takes the cake in TheDutchTexan’s AWD land.

Not an MR? I think the MR is like the STI so this is comparable to a WRX.

It seems all hope of a hybrid-electric evo type car from Mitubishi died with the hillclimb car.

MR has a dual clutch, larger bbs wheels, Bilstein suspension. GSR has the manual, enkei wheels, kyb shocks. It’s mostly a matter of preference. MR is a little more money.
The Ralliart is more like the WRX. Compared to the Evo: smaller and single scroll turbo, normal wheels, less computer AWD system (parts of evo 9/x mixed/matched), softer suspension, more noise damping.

4x4? Does the Evo have a transfer case I wasn’t aware of?

Alright... AWD you PURIST! Edited for your pleasure!

Uhm... no... This is the Final Edition, so it got the best a stock evo can offer!

Well... perhaps we will be surprised! I still refuse to believe they would just ax an icon without thinking about a way to bring it back.

There might be a glimmer with a next generation lancer - there seems to be talk about that with Renault Nissan. We will see. Mitsubishi has the engineering, it’s merely a question of will and market.
That interior that you found in the Evo is easy to dismiss in a performance car but hard to forgive in a base lancer. They need to come a long way in a lot of other areas first.

Damn. When they said a dutch person speaking english sounded like a native speaker, they weren’t kidding.
I heard it’s due to the fact the that Dutch and English have the same pace of speech.

I suppose so. It is also because english is a germanic language, and if someone that speaks a germanic language comes into contact with it early enough they learn to speak it right. I knew English before I was taught in school.
How did I learn? GIJOE and Dutch subtitles. I was the bane of english teachers because I did not speak proper english. I spoke american english. But I was that token “straight A” student for english class so they couldn’t make me do anything.
